Q - You describe WelshSpirit as being unique. Isn’t all coffee basically the same? What makes your coffee so unique?
A - All WelshSpirit coffees begin with a base of high-grown, specialty grade Arabica beans. If we stopped there, our coffees would pretty much be like all the rest. What makes our coffees so unique is our proprietary process that was developed to infuse the aroma and taste of the world’s finest Brewing Malt Grains into the beans during the roasting process. This marriage has produced gourmet coffees enhanced with a uniquely warm, roasted nutty aroma and taste. The result is a totally unique coffee that has no equal anywhere in the world.
Q - How do you roast your coffees?
A - We’re dedicated to the Sivetz hot-air roasting process which consistently allows each bean to develop its naturally distinctive flavor without the smoke and tar contamination that occurs in many roasters. Few people realize that the roasting process has a great deal of influence on the taste of the final roasted beans. The Sivetz Roaster accurately measures true bean temperature with a stationary box that contains the fluid bed of beans. Our coffee roasting machine produces a clean, tar-free, non-biting, smooth tasting beverage with every batch.
Q - Brewing Malt Grains? You mean like the grains that are used in making beer? Does that mean your coffees are alcoholic?
A - Yes! And, No! The same grains that are used in making beer. Have you ever taken a tour through a brewery when they’re roasting the grains? The aroma is intoxicating and you’d want to bottle it! We managed to do even better than bottling it. We infused that same aroma into WelshSpirit Coffees. To answer your question about being alcoholic? No! Our coffees are not alcoholic. The malt grains go through a roasting process to bring out their unique flavor profile, but they have not been fermented. If you drink too much of most any coffee you might get a buzz. But, you’ll never get carded when you order a mug of WelshSpirit coffee.
Q - I’ve heard people refer to varietals when they talk about coffees from other countries. What does this mean?
A - Some people incorrectly use the term varietals to mean coffees from a specific country or region within a country. The more accurate term is single-origin. WelshSpirit’s full line of gourmet coffees include: Single-Origin Coffees from the 3 great growing regions (The Americas, Africa and Indonesia); Blended Coffees that contain the best-of-the-best from 2 or more growing regions; and Flavored Coffees that always contain a base of beans from our gourmet line of Single-Origin coffees.
Q - How will I know if I’m buying a blended coffee or a single-origin coffee?
A - You will know by the name on the label. Single-origin coffees always contain the country name. Blended coffees will always have the word ‘Blend’ in the name.
Q - The delicious aftertaste and exotic flavor notes of fine, quality coffee beans are usually overpowered by adding flavors. What can I expect from your flavored coffees?
A - If you definitely do not care for flavored coffees, select from our fine line of straight coffees. However, we get rave reviews for our flavored coffees. Many times from people who claim they’ve never liked anything but non-flavored. Because WelshSpirit begins with a coffee that is inherently flavorful, additional flavorings are added as ‘grace notes’ that enhance rather than overwhelm.
Q - Is it true that you sponsor VIP Coffee Clubs? What are they and what’s the benefit to joining a club?

Q - You are a Wholesale Coffee Supplier who also sells retail? How does that work?
A - We offer wholesale prices to our outstanding partners and we never compete with them on price. But, WelshSpirit can’t always be found on the shelves in every location. So, we also sell to the public at our recommended retail price.
Q - What should I do if I want to buy WelshSpirit in my area and can’t find your coffee at any of my local stores?
A - There are two things you can do. Talk to the store managers and ask them to contact WelshSpirit Coffee Company. Or, you can send store contact information to us and we’ll call the store managers directly. If you’d like to be kept up-to-date on our progress, just let us know. We really appreciate your referrals.
Q - I’m a buyer for several retail locations. How can I get set up to start carrying WelshSpirit in our stores? We usually buy in larger quantities. Will you be able to manage large orders? And, we require the use of Bar Codes. Are you prepared to meet this requirement?
A - Managing Large Orders: Absolutely. We can ship up to 1,500 lbs of coffee daily. Will you be needing more than that?
Bar Codes: WelshSpirit Coffee Company has a registered UPC Code and can easily ship product with Bar Codes. We can provide a document to simplify code input into your internal Inventory Tracking System.

Q - I’ve heard that you donate 10% of the profit from all coffee sales to the Alzheimer’s Association. Is this true?
A - Yes. WelshSpirit Coffee Company is a business with a social conscience. As the owner, I believe in giving back. Until a cure can be found and if you live long enough, you have a very high probability of developing Alzheimers. We believe in the importance of supporting the race for the cure.
